Our Rental
Process

Rentals are made in person at either of our locations. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

The following documents and information are required to rent any instrument at Olivas Music.

  • A valid Texas ID showing your current El Paso address is required. If your ID is from another state or does not reflect your current El Paso address, you may provide your most recent gas, electricity, or water bill (not past due) as proof of residence.

  • A credit or debit card in your name is required and must have an expiration date at least three months beyond your rental start date. Applicant’s name on the credit/debit card and ID must match. The first month’s payment will be charged to this card on the same day you complete your rental.

  • For liability purposes, a valid U.S. Social Security number is required to complete an instrument rental. The number must belong to the applicant responsible for the rental. Applicants will be asked to fill out the full social security number on the paperwork.

  • A source of income is required to complete an instrument rental. Applicants will be asked to provide the name, address, and phone number of their place of employment; if the applicant is self-employed, the business name, line of work, and contact information will be requested.

  • If the primary applicant is not employed, a co-applicant will be required. The co-applicant must meet all the requirements to complete the rental.

  • A credit check will be required for applicants in the following circumstances:

    ·       Renting from groups 2, 3 or 4

    ·       Renting two or more instruments under the same name, regardless of category

    ·       Choosing manual payment (Option B) in place of automatic payment (Option A).

Outcomes from the credit check are:

    ·       Pass – Rental process continues regularly

    ·       Deposit Required – Deposit amount varies per instrument and is paid with the initial rental payment. Deposits may be applied toward the purchase of your instrument or refunded when returned, provided the account remains in good standing.
Note: Refunds are issued using the original payment method (e.g., credit/debit card, cash, or cashier’s check).

Denied – Applicant will not be able to rent an instrument. Cash purchase or Synchrony financing options are available.
